Community Carol Service 1st December 6:15pm

Trefechan Nursery School and Ysgol-y-Graig will be holding a community carol service on Tuesday 1st at 6:15pm at Trefechan Nursery School.

The service will be taken by Reverend Canon Bev John and the Salvation Army. A collection will be taken during the service support the work of the Salvation Army. Please bring a lantern or a torch.

World Aids Day 1st December 2009

World Aids Day will be held on the 1st December 2009. Over 80,000 people in the UK are living with HIV and it is important to understand the facts to fight prejudice and protect yourself and other. Recycling for the Community - Green Horizons

Do you have furniture in good condition that you want to get rid off? Green Horizons is a local charity which aims to re-use donated furniture and makes it available at a low cost to people in need throughout Merthyr Tydfil.

Green Horizons will collect free of charge the following items:
- three piece suites other furniture items providing they have the fire resistant label still attached and in reasonably good condition (no rips or tears)
- dining tables and chairs
- single, double beds or bunk beds
- wardrobes(not over 36" wide) and other bedroom furniture
- white goods still in working order

You can also buy furniture from the depot and they will deliver bought items within the Merthyr Borough free of charge.
