Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council will be holding a funding fair at the Summit/Taff Bargoed Centre in Trelewis on Wednesday 25th March 2009 from 10am to 3pm.
There will be advisors from a range of funding organisations available to help you. So if you a voluntary or community group please visit the funding fair to chat to a funding advisor.

Job Vacancy - Food Network Coordinator
The Trefechan Community Association, who are a local community community group in Trefechan has a vacancy for a food network coordinator. The post is a fixed term contract for two year working 18 hours per week. Salary of £9300 per annum. As such you may be interested in finding our about grant funds that have recently been launched under the Rural Action merthyr Programme, where consideration will be given to projects that:
- create new business opportunities that promote local products and activities, improve skills and enable economic regeneration
- support farmining enterprises that seek to move away from traditional agriculture as a means of diversifying incomes
- promote local festivals, events and cultural activities
- improve access to environmental and heritage features and local interpretation
- promote investment in tourist infrastructure and services for visitors
The event for Vaynor will be held at 10.30am 27th February at the Cefn Coed Community Centre. Refreshments and a buffet lunch will be provided at all events. To confirm attendance or request further information, please telephone 01685 725017
